360° room scan — verify the exam room from the participant’s phone
Participants scan a QR code with their phone and pan the room and desk, giving proctors a second camera angle that prevents hidden materials. It runs in the phone’s browser, and our app is available but not required.
Book a demoHow the room scan works
- 1
Scan the QR code
A QR code appears on the main device; the participant scans it with their phone.
- 2
Grant camera access
The phone connects in the browser, with no download and no account needed. Participants who prefer the PRUEFSTER app can use that instead.
- 3
Pan the room and desk
The participant slowly shows their surroundings and workspace.
- 4
Keep the second angle
The phone stays connected as an additional monitoring angle during the exam.

Book a demoWhat the second camera angle actually catches
A webcam pointed at a participant's face sees exactly that — a face, and whatever's directly behind it. It doesn't see the desk out of frame, a phone propped against a monitor stand, or notes taped to a wall to the side. The room scan closes that gap by adding a second, participant-controlled angle: a phone panning across the room and desk before the exam starts, so a proctor — human or AI-reviewed — has a view the primary webcam never had.
It's a one-time pass, not continuous filming of the room: once the pan is done, the phone's camera stays connected as a second monitoring angle for the length of the exam, giving the same anomaly-flagging treatment as the main feed rather than a live stream someone watches separately. Because it runs in the phone's mobile browser over a QR-code pairing, there's nothing to install to get that second angle — the PRUEFSTER app is there for participants who'd rather use it, not a requirement to take part.

Frequently asked questions
Do participants need to install an app?
