Why LTI instead of a custom build

LTI (Learning Tools Interoperability) is the standard Moodle already speaks for connecting outside tools to a course — it's the same mechanism Moodle uses for plenty of other add-ons, not something built specifically for PRUEFSTER. That's why the integration is a ready-to-use export rather than a custom development project: Moodle already knows how to hand off a student and an activity to an external tool and get a result back.

In practice that means an instructor attaches PRUEFSTER to any Moodle activity that needs proctoring the same way they'd attach any other LTI tool, using credentials pulled from their PRUEFSTER account. There's no separate login for participants and no parallel roster to keep in sync — Moodle still owns the course and the gradebook, PRUEFSTER only handles the proctoring layer during the exam window.
