ISO/IEC 27001 certifies an information-security management system (ISMS): a documented, audited way of identifying security risks, applying controls against them, and improving those controls over time. It is not a one-off checkmark — certification requires ongoing risk assessment, internal audits and regular external surveillance audits to keep.
For exams this matters twice over. Exam content is confidential before the exam and decisive afterwards, and monitoring produces video of real people. Both need protecting with the same discipline: access control, encryption, logging, incident response — controls that an auditor has actually verified rather than a provider merely claims.
PRUEFSTER holds ISO/IEC 27001 certification for its proctoring platform and operations, and the cloud subcontractor running the underlying infrastructure is certified to the same standard.
